Summary

Lead and oversee cross-functional operations teams to consistently achieve customer expectations for cost, quality, and on-time delivery. Own and drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (S, Q, D, I, P) KPIs through strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and drive performance against Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (S, Q, D, I, P) KPIs; develop action plans to address gaps and sustain improvements
    • Participate in internal ISO audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
    • Lead and facilitate team meetings; document action items and communicate customer concerns and business priorities effectively
    • Identify resource gaps across the department; develop and implement strategic solutions
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using CI tools and methodologies; ensure timely closure of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) aligned with quality objectives
    • Support production planning and execution based on material plan and capacity/demand analysis
    • Monitor production performance across the floor to ensure adherence to build and shipment schedules; experience deploying tools such as Hr/Hr to monitor and hold accountable the performance of manufacturing cells.
    • Enforce established policies, processes, and procedures; mentor junior leaders through best practices and leadership by example
    • Manage, track, and analyze production capacity versus demand to optimize efficiency
    • Lead recruitment and hiring efforts to support production and operational needs
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments
    • Identify, evaluate, and implement best-in-class operational practices across the production floor
    • Lead technical reviews to improve program delivery, cost efficiency, and overall performance
    • Champion continuous improvement culture through leadership, coaching, and implementation of best practices
    • Conduct long-term process assessments and develop solutions to improve reliability and output consistency
    • Develop and implement processes to improve inventory accuracy
    • Serve as backup for Operations Manager as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
    • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
    • Strong background in mixed model/medium-volume manufacturing environments
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proven ability to lead, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Hands-on leadership style with a strong team-oriented approach
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional projects
    • Working in an ISO controlled facility preferred
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel
    • Lean/CI certificate or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
    • The annual salary for this role is expected to be between $110,000 and $130,000 depending on a combination of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and industry knowledge.
