Summary

To assemble a product to specific assembly procedure in a lean manufacturing environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify integrity of material to be assembled and report defects.
  • Recognize and identify any non-conforming material and inform appropriate manufacturing personnel.
  • Assemble and packout products following specific procedures.
  • Responsible for inventory, equipment, data collection and housekeeping within work area.
  • Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space.
  • Ability to utilize IQS and 5S
  • Maintain ESD integrity within production environment
  • Ability to use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers)
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Technical training a plus.
  • 0 + years electro-mechanical assembly in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to read assembly procedures and follow visual aids.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process.
  • Ability to follow mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Basic mechanical assembly knowledge.
  • Capable of performing job function utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions and visual aids.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Electrical wiring skills are a plus
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a lean team environment.
  • The pay rate starts at $18.00 + per hour depending on experience
