Mack Technologies Hosts 6th Annual Supplier Conference
Focus on Thriving in a Dynamic Environment

MELBOURNE, FL, April 17, 2015: Mack Technologies, Inc. hosted its sixth annual Supplier Conference in Melbourne, Florida on April 16th. “This conference is the perfect opportunity to connect with our suppliers in a way that encourages meaningful dialog” said Wayne Ellis, Materials Manager at Mack Technologies’ Florida facility.
Utilizing a new format, this year’s theme was “Thriving in a Dynamic Environment”. Will Kendall, President of Mack Technologies, kicked off the presentations with an update on the company’s performance and strategic direction. Guest speakers shared their perspective of how their companies respond to the challenge of dynamic environments. Speakers included Walter Tobin, Corporate Vice President at Future Electronics; Tim Paulus, Regional Vice President at Arrow Electronics; Shane Dobrowski, FAE from Samtec; and Seth Miller, CEO of Clearmark Industries. To fully round out the impact to the entire supply chain, Bob Dzikowski, Supply Chain Manager at DRS Signal Solutions presented the customer’s expectations of the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider relative to lead time, support, and cost management.
In keeping with the theme of the day, Mack used this event as an opportunity to unveil a new program that enhances communication and flexibility throughout the supply chain. This program will allow the entire supply base to more quickly and successfully respond to Mack’s customers’ dynamic scheduling and delivery needs. Wayne Ellis commented, “Our new supply program will benefit our suppliers, customers, and Mack. This program will provide greater visibility to our suppliers, rapid schedule flexibility for our customers, and a more efficient operating structure for Mack. I look forward to implementing this initiative with our strategic supply partners and customers.”
As in previous years, Mack combined the informational portion of the conference with a philanthropic effort.  Many participants in the event joined Mack in donating food to a local charity.  The designated organization was Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, which serves over 85,000 meals a year to people in the Melbourne area.  The event culminated in a donation of more than a ton of food.
