Mack Technologies Hosts Annual Supplier Conference
North American EMS provider explores the future of The Cloud

MELBOURNE, FL, May 17, 2013:  Mack Technologies, Inc. held its fourth annual Supplier Conference in Melbourne, Florida earlier this month.  “Mack took a leadership position in the electronics supply chain four years ago when we started this conference,” said Bill McKenna, Mack Technologies’ Director of Supply Chain, “Our conference brings together our suppliers, distributors, and customers in a forum that bolsters communication and encourages discussions that strengthen our businesses.”
This year’s theme, Moving Forward with Our Heads in the Cloud, focused on how new technologies and virtual office applications enhance operational effectiveness in the electronics industry. Speakers included Louis Copley, District Manager at Avnet, who discussed how his company uses the Cloud to support intricate business to business interactions on a daily basis.  “In its new incarnation the Cloud allows companies like Avnet to provide collaborative tools that were impossible to imagine five years ago.  Using tools like M2M data transfer has increased our collective efficiency and improved the way we do business together.”
Later in the afternoon attendees including Mack customers had an opportunity to participate in interactive panel discussions moderated by Susan Badgio, Plant Manager of Mack’s Florida operations. “This year’s conference was an excellent platform to discuss how we can improve our methods of communicating with both external and internal stakeholders in all of our organizations,” said Susan Badgio, “We’re already looking forward to what next year’s conference will bring.”
During the day’s events many participants chose to join Mack in making donations to local charities -- Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Second Harvest Food Bank.  Daily Bread serves meals to between 200 and 250 people daily in the Melbourne community.  Second Harvest is a warehouse that collects food that supplies over 500 nonprofit feeding programs in the Brevard county area.  The day’s events culminated in the presentation of a check to Daily Bread for $2,151 and over 1,300 pounds of food to Second Harvest Food Bank.  “We are proud to have such generous partners and we thank everyone for their support.  Giving back to the community is important to us and we’re overwhelmed by the support from our suppliers, customers, and employees” said Susan Badgio.
