Key focal point to coordinate the NPI activities between the assigned customer(s) and all appropriate MTI Departments. The majority of assignment is related to the smooth and orderly transition of the customer’s new product introduction into MTI. Lead the NPI team, both direct and indirect reports, to accomplish the specified goals while also achieving Customer satisfaction and profit goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Pre-Award Stage
· Review RPQ vs. customers planned / scheduled orders.
· Rules of “engagement” defined in lieu of formal agreement.
· Identified material ordering parameters (i.e., min lot/reel size, lead-time, non-cancelable/non-reschedule items).
Award Stage
· Develop materials and manufacturing project plan to support customer requirements.
· Coordinate all P1, P2, and Pilot activities, if required by either the customer or MTI team.
· Requote as necessary for changes in scope.
Inventory Analysis
· Identify excess inventory. Determine the cause and reconcile.
· Review purchase price variance (PPV) and resolve unfavorable items.
General
· Maintain excellent communication with internal/external customers.
· Ensure that all program activities and delivery goals are achieved in a timely manner.
Must have comprehensive understanding of the procurement, engineering, and manufacturing processes. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Must be strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5+ years experience in a contract manufacturing environment. Project Management and Manufacturing supervision experience a plus.
